Binder Mechanical Consulting is a registered trade name (state of Colorado).
My Background:
I am a graduate mechanical engineer. I worked for The Gates Rubber Company for 34 years in various engineering and management positions. During that assignment, I represented our company at various technical standards organizations including
- The Rubber Manufacturing Association
- Society of Automotive Engineers
- American Society of Agricultural Engineers
- American Petroleum Institute
- ISO TC 41 (Chief USA delegate for SC1)
I worked in and managed the Product Application Department, and managed the Belt Testing laboratory. As a part of my assignment, I authored over 100 technical papers and trade journal articles.
In March of 1999, I took an early retirement. My final position was Chief Engineer.
Subsequent to my retirement, I have done consulting and testified as an expert witness in cases related to my experience. I also taught continuing education classes to maintenance and design personnel.
My strongest attribute is that I am a hands-on engineer with full fabrication skills. I have always been able to present complex technical information/procedures to both engineers and non-technical people. This has served me well in my expert witness and training efforts.
Main Consulting Focus:
My main focus in the early years, after my retirement from Gates, was:
- Cost effective evaluation of potential litigation cases.
- Product Failures
- Work Related accidents
- Expert Witness representation in my field of expertise
My CV:
Future Consulting:
While I have again put my retirement hat on, I am always ready to discuss areas where I could be of assistance.
