50 Olds Bubble Coupe Package for sale

50 Olds Bubble Coup package for sale (sold only as a package)

I have owned this car since 1986.  It was going to be my last “special” project.  However, my age (84) tells me I had better finish the projects I have now and hope that it can go to a good home.   My initial package price is $7,000.00  The car is located in the Denver area.

My contact information:  Email:  jim@beltguy.com  Phone/Text:  303.478.3501

The buyer will need to bring a big trailer.  It might be possible to negotiate  delivery within a 300 mile radius of Denver.

Over the years, I have collected a large amount of related parts including lots of Cad/LsSalle transmissions /parts, a pretty decent assortment of speed parts, and several extra body parts.  Those will be included in the sale as a package.

I will list the details as best as I can recall for now, since I don’t have the time to gather everything together and do a proper inventory.

So here is my best recollection of what I have:

The car:

  1. The car has very little rust. I have  additional  major body components including hoods, rear clip, front fenders/
  2. I have most of the parts necessary to assemble a fairly complete car including bumpers (need to be re-chromed), taillights, and headlights. I do not have the side chrome or the hood/deck chrome parts.
  3. The engine has run in the past and I think it will run again. It has some speed parts including a dual point distributor, and headers.  I am not sure of the engine size.
  4. I have driven the car around our property in the past. The engine seemed to run pretty well, but I had to hold the hydro in gear as I recall.
  5. The Glass is OK and the front seat has been re-upholstered with vinyll  pleats but is probably not in the best of shape

The parts (this is my best recollection and needs inventoried):

  1. Quite a bit of Cad-LaSalle transmission parts. I think I have enough to put together a floor shift box and a Cad side shift box (both long tail shafts). I also have bellhousings, flywheels, and clutch parts.
  2. Several engines – mostly 303 (and maybe 324) plus one 371 J2 that needs rebuilding. As I recall one of the engines was a de-stroked 303 that is about 290 cubic inches which I assume was made for some class of racing requiring less than 300 cubic inch displacement.
  3. Quite a bit of Oldsmobile speed parts including multi carb manifolds, at least one blower manifold, one 671 blower (with most of hardware to mount – crank hub etc), aluminum valve covers etc. I also have a set of new headers that was custom made by Hedman (long fun story).
