We leave tomorrow.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\nPat has been having a ball<br \/>\nusing the various resources available here.  In addition to the great<br \/>\nresources at the Garst Museum, she has spent some time at the county<br \/>\nrecords facility looking at old documents.  But the really great<br \/>\nresource has been the Library.  They have a genealogy department.<br \/>\nThe woman who works there is so very helpful.  She is apparently a<br \/>\ncontract person (low pay, unfortunately), and just loves her job.<br \/>\nShe has been working directly with Pat and the two of them have made<br \/>\nsome pretty good progress.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\nWe have again gone to a<br \/>\ncouple of graveyards.  Some folks think that is kind of weird, but it<br \/>\nis rewarding to find the markers of our ancestors.  Besides that, the<br \/>\ngraveyards are beautiful in their own way.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\nI have been spending quite<br \/>\na bit of time on work related efforts.  It seems that when we left<br \/>\ntown, the world discovered that our business exists {big grin}.  I<br \/>\nhave had to process a couple of nice orders for our fire detection<br \/>\nand suppression system and have an order for a specialized version<br \/>\nfor an industrial customer (indeed, all of my orders have been<br \/>\nnon-RV).  That is a great trend.  Hope it keeps up.\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\nWe are heading to<br \/>\nChattanooga next week to participate in the Bus Conversions Rally<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.busconversions.com\/rally\/index.html\">(website)<\/a>.<br \/>\n I have been working with the Bus Conversions Magazine owner,<br \/>\noffering several seminars (including Pat&#8217;s rubber stamped greeting<br \/>\ncard seminar) as well as any type of help he needs.  I am also<br \/>\nscheduled to be a co-presenter of  a one day welding workshop<br \/>\n(assuming there is sufficient registration).  We will arrive a couple<br \/>\nof days before the workshops begin and help with the various<br \/>\nactivities needed to facilitate a rally of this magnitude.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\nThe welding workshop will be a first<br \/>\nfor me.  I am doing the \u201ctextbook\u201d presentation and the other<br \/>\nperson will work with the attendees to do actual hands-on welding.  I<br \/>\nthink it has the potential for being a good session.  I have been<br \/>\nspending a lot of time pouring over welding books to get the slide<br \/>\npresentation developed.  I have a lot of welding experience (since I<br \/>\nwas 15 years old), but I have never tried to \u201cteach\u201d a class.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\nOur daughter asked about the fall<br \/>\ncolors.  The trees here are just starting to turn and the colors, so<br \/>\nfar, are great.  I think we will hit the best colors in Tennessee.  I<br \/>\nhad mentioned that the weather was rather cold when we got here.  It<br \/>\nhas now gotten pretty nice with daytime temperatures in the high<br \/>\n70s\/low80s and nighttime in the mid 40s.\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\nI had noted that we are staying in the<br \/>\ncampground at the Darke County fairgrounds.  I had linked to a<br \/>\nsatellite view in the last blog and that view shows how extensive the<br \/>\nfacilities are. The<br \/>\ngrounds are immaculate.  Many years ago, I attended a car show in the<br \/>\n&#8217;56 Chevy in Hamilton, OH.  My brother-in-law and I drove up here to<br \/>\nattend a very large steam tractor event.  I fell in love with the<br \/>\nfairgrounds when we were here and it has been just as neat as I had<br \/>\nremembered.  At least one source says that the fairgrounds is located<br \/>\non 176 acres and has 1000 campsites.  The Darke County Fair is said<br \/>\nto be among the largest county fair in the US.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\nLast night and this morning we are<br \/>\ntrying to catch up on washing.  It is sure nice to have the washer<br \/>\nand dryer in the bus.  That lets Pat do the washing while we relax<br \/>\nand do other things.  We have 30 amp service at the campground, but<br \/>\nthat is not sufficient to run the dryer.  We are running the<br \/>\ngenerator when we do the drying, but that is a very small price to<br \/>\npay for the convenience.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\nThat is all for now.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello again from Greenville, OH Friday Morning October 7, 2011 (third travelogue of this trip).
