\nAs happens too often, I started this post and was not able
\nto finish it till I got home.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nI traveled to teach a four day class.  The first two days were bearings and
\nlubrication and the last two days were shaft alignment.  This is a \u201cregional\u201d class which means that
\nit is held in a hotel and the students are from various companies.  I really prefer this type of class (as
\nopposed to an \u201con-site\u201d class held at a company with their employees
\nattending).  In the public class, you often
\nget better discussion because of the varied backgrounds.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe class is being held at the Holiday Inn Express (here)<\/a>.  The meeting room was very large for our small
\ngroup (5 students).  That is great, as we
\nhave to set up the shaft alignment labs and that takes a fair amount of space.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nIn the past, the shaft alignment class used rather simple
\ntools (straight edges, calipers, and dial indicators).  When the class had somewhat experienced
\nstudents, it was difficult to fill the full two days.  We recently added laser alignment equipment
\nand that really makes the class powerful and fun!<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nFor a change, the travel went well.  The flight out was typical, but I had a good
\nseat.  When I went to pick up the rental
\ncar they said that the company had reserved a premium car.  That is not the norm, but the lady that does
\nthe scheduling had a special offer and gave it to me.  The bad news was they did not have a premium
\ncar so I had to \u201csettle\u201d for a Camaro {big grin).  Sure wish I had had an opportunity to \u201copen
\nit up\u201d.  The flight home was about half
\nfull and I had a great exit row seat.  <\/div>\n

\nMy fun rental car <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nI arrived in Sacramento early Monday afternoon.  That allowed me to drive the Camaro up to
\nNevada City to have dinner with a great friend. 
\nIt would have been a good route to have some fun, but the traffic did not
\npermit very aggressive driving.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
