\nToday we traveled about 350 miles.  We are at the Holiday Inn Express (map)<\/a>.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nI was looking at my Holiday Inn Rewards page and noted that
\nfor 2013 I have spent 70 nights in their hotels.  That does not include the past couple of
\nweeks.  I have attained the Platinum
\nlevel which tends to get you some perks. 
\nTonight they upgraded us to a really nice suite.  With a little luck, we will be able to use
\nour points for 7 nights on this trip.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nWe went over some reasonable high passes (for this part of
\nthe country). What is often
\nreferred to  as Cabbage Patch hill (just
\neast of Pendleton and rated among the worst by some truckers) goes on for what
\nseems like forever.  We
\nhit some pretty good snow \u2013 both falling and on the sides of the road.  We saw an SUV that hit the huge rock face on
\nour side of the road and a jack-knifed semi that hit an embankment on the other
\nside.  There were periods of sun, but not
\nmuch.  The temperature never got over 50
\nand with high winds and humidity it felt really cold.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nTomorrow, our goal is Green River, UT<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
