\n\tHello from Kremmling, CO Hotel Eastin\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFriday Evening – February 1, 2019   (First post of this travelogue)\n<\/p>\n

\n\tPat and I are making a quick trip to Kremmling to attend a funeral of a very neat lady that was in Pat’s downline.  <\/span>We are staying at a very unique hotel – Hotel Eastin (Google map link)<\/a>.  <\/span>More about the hotel later.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWe chose to take the I 70 route to Silverthorn and then up CO 9 to Kremmiling.  <\/span>The weather was nice and the road conditions were great.  <\/span>We will probably be going back US 40 tomorrow.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe funeral was for Erle Lynne Jones.  <\/span>It was held in the high school.  <\/span>Well over 100 folks were in attendance.  <\/span>Erle Lynne was the kind of woman that you just naturally loved.  <\/span>She has been in Pat’s downline for 13 years.  <\/span>She has been fighting cancer for around 25 years.  <\/span>She passed away a few days ago at the age of 70.  <\/span>The service was beautiful.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hotel Eastin is a neat historic building.  <\/span>It was built in 1906 as a sarsaparilla factory.  <\/span>The first floor was the factory and the second story was a rooming house.  <\/span>Over the years it housed a barber shop, drug store and dress shop.  <\/span>The current owners bought the building 13 years ago and began restoring each room.  <\/span>Some of the rooms are “boarding” rooms with a common bath “down the hall”.  <\/span>Other rooms are “theme” rooms with a bath.  <\/span>Our room is called the Zane Grey room.  <\/span>It is said that he stayed here and got the inspiration for his book:  <\/span>The Mysterious Rider.  <\/span>As you will see from the photos the room is very small, but well decorated.\n<\/p>\n
